I'm so very excited about my collaboration with Vancouver natural perfumer
extraordinaire, Ayala Moriel! I've long admired and coveted her hand
blended (non-synthetic) aromatics, so when I found these lovely brass lockets specifically made to hold perfume, I immediately thought of
collaborating with her to create the solid perfume to nestle inside.
This is a new, multi-chain design featuring glass faux pearls. Each one
is unique, and I will be listing a precious few more with different coloured glass beads in the coming weeks. The lockets themselves are about 44x33mm You will receive the exact necklace shown in the photos. The
lockets are new, and made from original molds from the 1940's. This one has an oval scroll design on the front. They are lead
and nickel free, made in the USA, and each one is given a rich
"antique" patina.
Your locket will come with a brand new, never used solid perfume pan in your choice of two lovely fragrances. Please leave a note upon purchase as to your choice. Your new necklace will come with the printout shown, detailing the exotic ingredients of the Parfum en crème you choose. Each locket has a separate non-reactive pan that sits
inside the recess and is refillable.
Antique Amber
Antique
Amber is an oriental-ambery perfume with an old-world charm, like an
antique wooden dresser filled with treasures: Luxurious amber resin,
exotic patchouli-scented shawls, and remnants of jasmine perfume for an
extra feminine touch. Borneol camphor and a hint of aniseed add a
mysterious, lingering cool/warm intrigue. Antique Amber can be worn
alone or can be layered with other perfumes for added depth mystery.
Zangvil
Zesty ginger (zangvil in Hebrew) and Fuzzy amber are the centerpiece of
this tactile, spicy oriental. Zangvil is as cozy as a Kashmir sweater
and pungently sweet like crystallized ginger and candied orange peel.
Comes in a matching fragrant tea as well.
Top notes: Ginger, Wild Orange, Orange Juice Essence
Heart notes: Ginger Lily, Egyptian Jasmine, Honey, Magnolia Lily
Base notes: Crystalline Amber, Ambrette Seed, Liquidamber
I
am the type of lady who very seldom wears scents, as I find I'm
sensitive to synthetic aromas. I'm not allergic, I just think they smell
fake and full of chemicals. I've researched and dabbled in amature
scent blending in my past and therefore have a *wee* bit of knowledge in
the area, so I really appreciate it when I come across someone as
passionate, pure and professional as Ayala. She uses only natural
scented oils from nature, never synthetic!
What's so bad about
synthetic fragrances? Most contain petroleum-derived materials, and some
even contain phthalates. If you are interested, it's easy to "google"
and do some research on this topic - arm yourself with information about
that perfume aisle in the drug store!
