Long and Light OAK Escutcheon Earrings

Lovely, light and large, these escutcheons (key hole plates) were gleaned from an antiques expo in Portland, OR. The fella I bought them from does all of his architectural salvage out of Maine. They have an amazing vintage patina that can only be acquired through time - I polished them up just a bit for a lovely warm shine.

The escutcheons look like they would be heavy, but are in fact made from an extremely thin pressed metal (probably tin?) and are surprisingly light - barely thinner than piece of paper. I've paired them with two warm vintage glass faux pearls and ornate vintage brass bead caps.

Hung from high quality gold filled ear wires, these beauties are one of a kind and hang just about 3.25" long and about .5" wide.

Warm, intriguing, distinctive, elegant, mysterious and totally OAK: One of A Kind.

Each OAK piece comes with it's own hand written specimen tag listing "ingredients" and provenance.
