I was drawn to this nouveau bar shape after traveling in Prague last Spring. I returned to the west coast inspired by all things that infuse Prague; Alphonse Mucha & the art nouveau movement in particular.
The gorgeous gold plated brass nouveau bars are picked from the original manufacturer who made them in the USA between 1920's - 1970's. It's a 3rd generation owned business and the grandson has warehoused all the old stock and is gradually selling it all off. So once they're gone, they're gone for good!
I've paired them with vintage cherry red glass drops. These red stones were originally made in Japan, post WWll. They are vintage glass stones set in new brass settings, which is why they l look brand new.
These look great against dark hair - the cherry red colour really pops.
They hang about 44cm long (about 1.75") including earwires. Ear wires are super high quality gold-filled (not gold plated) and are great for those of us with sensitive ears.
