Tough, rocker and modern Victorian style mash up in this ornate, one of a kind cuff.
I found a stash of vintage liquor tags at a back roads antique store on Vancouver Island. Silver plated over brass, engraved with "Birks" on the back side, these tags were originally for hanging around the neck of your cut glass liquor bottles, (a la Mad Men style).
I sanded down the sterling silver plate so some of the original warm brass appears underneath.
The tag was then riveted to a black coated, hand distressed aluminum cuff base, which makes it surprisingly light to wear. Lovely copper coloured rivets are an nice contrast to both the silver and black. No need to worry about the metal changing colour or going dark. The silver plated parts might eventually go darker, but you can simply rub your fingers or use a soft cloth to shine them up.
These cuffs are then hand-shaped into an elegant curve that is adjustable. All edges are sanded to a smooth finish and the corners are rounded.
Fits a wide variety of wrists - I've had both tiny ladies and dudes both buy this size cuff.
Flat, the aluminum base measured 6.25" long by 1.5" wide. Adjustable to fit most wrists. Use a gentle touch when re-sizing the cuff; multiple, small pulsing adjustments rather than one big heave-ho.
*** last photo shows the other booze tag cuffs I have available, but please note this listing is for the ONE Port cuff shown in detail here.
