I salvaged these vintage bone beads from a warehouse in New York that imported them from India (hand made in India) in the 1970s. Very bohemian - and very hot once again!
Lengths of stiff wire have been loaded up with the bone beads, then geometric glass beads are added to the bottom for a more modern vibe. Chose between light silver tone glass beds, and dark gunmetal glass beads. I've left the wires straight in this example, but please let me know if you'd prefer them bent into gentle curves, such as in the Leaf and Bones necklace.
Where the wires meet in the middle, hangs a vintage silver plated feather charm - the last of my stash from NYC! I've added just a touch of faux patina colour into the recesses of the charm, and it's been spray sealed for protection.
Hung on modern "antiqued" silver-tone chain (nickel and lead free) for a total length of 18" with an additional 2"" extender chain.
Last two photos shows the necklace paired with Braids and Bones earrings - please note this listing is for the necklace ONLY.
