Salvaged Number Necklace - Dog Tag Style

Which number will you choose? Your birth year? Your lucky number? The possibilities are almost endless - I can make you one featuring any number from 1 to 100.

The aluminum numbers were salvaged from an decommissioned Canada Post outlet - rescued out of wooden drawers from an old building in Vancouver, BC. (please see the last photo). They were originally used as part of a sorting system. Safe to say the numbers date from circa the 1940s or 50s.

I clean them up, hand cut each number and drill holes so the numbers hang loose in front of a brass base, reminiscent of army "dog tags. The brass has been hand-aged to a lovely vintage hue.

I've only got about 30 of each number left , so consider these similar to a limited edition fine art print, as only about 80 of each number will EVER be made.

Width of 'dog tag' is .25"
Length; varies slightly between 1" to 1.5". Each one is unique.

Your vertical number will hang on a sturdy chain, for a more industrial, masculine look. Chain style may vary slightly. Upon checkout, you can also chose your necklace length; 18" / 20" /  22".

So choose your number! Just leave me a message in the "notes to seller" section upon purchase.

I also have these available as a cuff, or in a horizontal orientation on a daintier chain. Please check my other listings.
