What a lovely, heirloom quality piece. These (and all my sterling) pendants are originally handmade in the USA sometime between the 1940s to the 1970s.
Genuine turquoise is handset in sterling silver (marked .925 on the inside of the bail) and surrounded by authentic Swiss Marcasite in the flower-scroll motif and around the edges. Made popular during the Victorian Era, faceted marcasite shimmers with a metallic lustre and sparkle.
The silversmiths who made these (circa 1950s) called this a reversible pendant, but I'm not sure why you would ever want to wear the "plain" side showing instead of the floral marcasite side!
Comes with a 16" sterling silver vintage chain.
Truly high quality that can be passed down through generations. Your vintage pendant will come with the original black and silver tag shown in the photo stating that it is indeed Sterling Silver and handmade.
